Deliciousness~

My newest fave dish..

apart from my umpteenth newest fave no fry General Tao..and sauce..and Jacques'..new Korean Beef recipes. this is my hands down favorite here..

that sunny Sunday..we just had?Remember?

I made this..keeper..rrrr..

I do have some tips though to actually make it more delicious.

Never use   bottled roasted red peppers..(if you can)..
This late summer..coming up..(let's not rush it along..)..get a bushel of fresh red peps and roast them on your BBQ..  skin  them and macerate in basil..evoo and your home grown garlic;)
Then bag and freeze..

you will have so many bags of delicious roasted red peppers that don't taste like brine..

So yes..I used ours..and in the vinaigrette..I added the juice that's in the bag..so the vinaigrette tastes like all that goodness too♥

We baked our salmon at 350..for 25 mins..and I did not have escarole so used baby spinach..I didn't even miss the escarole..in fact I don't even remember what that tastes like ..no fresh dill either..but I used  dried..not at all as pungent..but worked..
I love this!
We ate the whole thing.Serve w/ additional wedges of lemon..I like lemon;)

Here it is..but if you don't love it..it's the peppers fault.

Next time..I'll make sure my asparagus are cut and placed prettily..I just got too hungry..I take 5 pics quick max and then we eat..and that's if it's room temp..warm..2 pics.
And I'll make sure the salmon plating spatula is facing upward..hmm..maybe she should be swimming downward:)

This is great!

PS..if you cannot wait till late summer..just roast in the oven now..but bag and evoo and basil and garlic them:)

About 18 yrs ago we had salmon at a friend's home..she had bought knives like these on Ebay w/ the forks for fish..I was able to find some in such a pretty vintage case..

still like them..♥all these 18 yrs later;)

Monday and Tuesday we had glorious sun..the trees are reaching to the sky..the buds wanting to go forth and pop in a few weeks..
The indoor plants are happy happy..makes for nice indoor color.

So I think I figured out a way to make that cookie stamp  dough I love so much..work for all of you..use a Food Processor.

As soon as it comes together.  when you are adding the last of the dry ings..Stop.
You may need less than the recipe states..just stop..and follow suit for the rest.

This recipe:)

It's still my fave..  it's the brown sugar and lemon zest..:)  and almond flour.

And I have to show you how Susan's turned out..perfection!

Go have a look:)

I wish you all a nice weekend..

and may you always have  some cupcake people in your lives♥

In any way shape or form.

Been prepping Easter..it's underway..

Sorry fellow Instagrammers for the repeats...

  1. Is your Christmas cactus blooming now? Mine is and same color :-) It bloomed for Christmas and then I forgot to water it. I just picked up salmon from our fish truck so this may be on the menu tonight!

  4. We love Alaskan salmon and this sounds like a delicious recipe, Monique! I will put a note on my calendar to try grilling peppers as you mentioned and freezing them when I see them at the farmers market this summer. What a delicious idea and could be used in so many recipes throughout the rest of the year! I love your fish serving platter and spatula and those knives and forks - gorgeous ♥ You are beautifully ready for Easter! I adore those Unicorn cookies and their adorable eyelashes :) Your food processor tip for the cookie dough was the ticket for me :) Merci, merci! ♥

A tip..once you roast them and they char..you put them in a paper bag and close..so much easier to peel! then im a large bowl w/ all the evoo and gralic and basil:) Then bag and freeze..a nice fall aft:)

  7. Always a pleasure browsing in your blog.......
For some reason I just don't like salmon. I should learn because it is such a healthy fish to eat. Maybe I'll try it again....maybe.
What's this "no fry General Tao chicken" you speak of??? Sounds interesting.
One of my weaknesses is cupcakes. Yup.....I love cupcakes. With lots of frosting. I know.....not good for me. So, I treat myself only once in a while.

  13. That salmon dish looks great. And I LOVE your fish and knife set. Ah the cookies. Baking has slowed down here. Jerry is trying to lose some weight and I feel guilty having the house filled with smells from the oven. I will be making some cupcakes in those springtime Easter baking cups you made last Easter for the kids. I'll have to add a cookie on top, Katherine loved the cupcakes I made for Lillian with the bunny cookie on top. Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. With Spring happening soon..I think everyone will be indoors less and outdoors more:)

Cookies on top of cupcakes are double the pleasure for Littles..not sure if you remember the ones my daughter made w/ the bears in jujube floters as if on the beach?

      Delete
    2. No but I'll have to search for them. I'm going to use that tip we used to make the paddington bear cupcakes to cream the grass. I'll top them with a cookie and a small chocolate treat. Katherine will be in heaven and so will Frankie. I'm sure Lillian will get a taste too. Spring is coming for sure. The hellebores are up along with some daffodils and crocus. Did your hellebore babies survive winter?

Who also has a "fish Slice" around here somewhere, and it's used for serving lots of things, from juicy sliced tomatoes to those eternally-pleated slices of Ocean Spray, without which my husband cannot enjoy turkey to the fullest.
